Description of content: Motorcycle tyres have been subject to mandatory inspection under the Commodity Inspection Act by the Bureau of Standards Metrology and Inspection (BSMI) since 15 October 2012. The current inspection standard CNS 4879 of motorcycle tyres was promulgated on 15 September 2011. The BSMI will adopt the revised CNS 4879 Standard, which was promulgated on 9 October 2014. Besides, the BSMI will revise motorcycle tyres' description of goods [see Products (HS/CCCN codes) covered and their applicable inspection standards].
