Description of content: The validity period for the safety confirmation is currently 5 years which applies to all the electrical products subject to the safety confirmation.

However, according to the draft, the validity period will be varied from 5 years to 10 years based on the hazard level of the product.

For example, the validity period for the safety confirmation of a game machine will remain 5 years. On the other hand, an audio system will increase to 10 years from 5 years after being amended.
