Validity period of safety check declaration will be amended to applied differently depending on the risk of electrical products.

Current: Applied evenly to 5years for each products

After being amended : Applied variously to 5-10years for each product

The scope of electrical products regulated by Electrical Appliances Safety Control Act will be amended to except ultra-low voltage products:

·                Current : Equivalent to and lower than AC/DC 1000V products

·                After being amended: AC 30V ~ 1000V, DC 42V ~ 1000V products (Electrical appliances having risk in safety is included to the scope of Electrical Appliances Safety Control Act, even if its rated voltage is under AC 30V/DC 42V.)

The scope of rated voltage of each product regulated by Electrical Appliances Safety Control Act will be modified to exclude industrial and specific purpose products.

The scope of 'Cables, Switches and Circuit breakers' regulated by Electrical Appliances Safety Control Act exclusively will cover AC products.

In order to raise awareness among the public, classification and terminology of electrical products regulated by Electrical Appliances Safety Control Act will be clarified.

With the intention of improving safety of battery, the scope of battery regulated by Electrical Appliances Safety Control Act will be amended.
