Description of content: Korea informed on 29 May 2015 of an outbreak of Erwinia amylovora (causal agent of fire blight) in Anseong and Cheonan in the Republic of Korea. As per Import protocol for Korean pear (Pyrus pyrifolia Nakai) fruit from the Republic of Korea 2011, Australia suspended trade of Korean pears on 9 June 2015.
