This specification is for use by a contractor, concrete supplier, or other purchaser as the document describing the material to be furnished.

The development of this standard arose out the concerns expressed by the public as it relates to the inconsistent levels of deleterious substance found in aggregate and the need to standardize the constituent materials used in the production of ready-mix and hollow concrete blocks. This document is a modified adoption of the America Standard ASTM C33/C33M – 13: Standard Specification for Concrete Aggregate
