Description of content: Air conditioners have been subject to mandatory inspection under the Commodity Inspection Act by the Bureau of Standards Metrology and Inspection (BSMI) since 18 February 1982. The BSMI will adopt the revised standard CNS 3615 "Air conditioners" (promulgated on 27 December 2013) as new testing and inspection standards, instead of the current CNS 3615 (promulgated on 16 July 2009).
