Description of content: The Thai Industrial Standards Institute (TISI) has proposed to enforce TIS 2337-2557(2014) Ballasts for tubular fluorescent lamps: energy efficiency requirements. This draft standard specifies the energy efficiency requirements for ballasts for tubular fluorescent lamps for general lighting purposes in different shapes. It covers the following:

·                minimum energy performance standard of ballasts for tubular fluorescent lamps;

·                ferromagnetic or electronic ballasts use with fluorescent lamps, a.c. supplies from 10 W to 70 W, voltage of 220/230 V and 240 V at frequency of 50 Hz;

·                the ballast is a separate component or built into the lamp.
