Description of content: The Thai Industrial Standards Institute (TISI) has proposed to withdraw TIS 2235-2548(2005) Single–capped fluorescent lamps: safety specifications, and replace it with TIS 2235-2557(2014) as a mandatory standard. This draft standard specifies the safety requirements for single–capped fluorescent lamps for general lighting purposes, having the following caps: 2G7, 2GX7, 2G8, GR8, G10q, GR10q, GU10q, GX10q, GY10q, GZ10q, 2G10, 2G11, 2GX11-1, 2GX13, G23, GX23, G24, GX24 and GX32. It covers photobiological safety, blue light and infrared hazards below the level which requires marking and labeling.
